Emergency services: (450) 458-7016Our companies, Les Entreprises Hans Gruenwald Inc. and Services de Rebuts Soulanges, have been in business for over 55 years. These are family businesses that were incorporated in 1961 and have been in existence for three generations.
The companies were founded by Hans Gruenwald Sr., an immigrant from Germany who fought in the Second World War. In 1971, his son, Hans Gruenwald Jr., took over the company. In 1981, Jean St-Pierre joined the companies. In 1987, Hans Gruenwald Jr.’s son Steven joined the family business. Steven Gruenwald proudly represents the third generation of the companies. Steven and Jean are involved in several associations related to environmental protection. In 2004, Heidi, Hans Gruenwald Jr.’s daughter, joined the team as Director of Human Resources. Heidi and Steven proudly represent the third generation of the companies. Most recently, Elizabeth, Steven’s daughter, joined the customer service team. She is currently pursuing her studies in administration and will be able to apply her knowledge within the company. A fourth generation on the horizon!
Both family businesses rely on the quality work and dedication of a team of more than 65 people.
Jean St-Pierre is President of APCHQ Montérégie-Suroit (Association Provinciale des Constructeurs d’Habitation du Québec Région Montérégie-Suroit) as well as Vice-President of APCHQ Provinciale. Heidi Gruenwald is Treasurer of AESEQ (Association des Entrepreneurs Spécialisés en Eau du Québec).
